Our school is licensed (#410500506) by the California State Department of Social Services and is affiliated with Peninsula Covenant Church.

Peninsula Covenant Preschool admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities in our school.

Philosophy
We believe that God creates children with unique gifts and abilities. We take joy in providing an atmosphere of warmth and love where each child can grow at their own pace and take the next steps in their development. We provide activities that foster growth in the areas of social, emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual development. Children learn as they are exposed to "hands on" experiences and a variety of play activities. In the safety of respectful relationships, children are free to grow.

Pre-K Program
Our Pre-K class is designed for children who turn five- years-old by December 2nd and need more time to mature before starting kindergarten. The class is made up of one teacher and twelve students. The program provides activities that foster growth in academic and   social/emotional skills, as well as, motor skills. Spiritual concepts are woven throughout the curriculum. These skills are developed through direct instruction, written practice and play activities. There is a balance of teacher initiated activities and free choice activities for the children. Our Pre-K class is designed to help bridge the preschool and kindergarten experiences

Parent Involvement
During October, parents begin "parent participation." This is a time for parents to come to school and spend the morning with their child. It is our hope that parents will enjoy this opportunity to be with their child and observe his/her interactions at school. Each MWF parent and Pre-K parent will be asked to participate three times during the year. Each Tu/Th parent will be asked to participate two times during the year. Parents are welcome to visit more often.
