Peter and Janet Payne--InterVarsity Christian Fellowship
Peter and Janet Payne are specialists with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, strength-ening student fellowships at home (Ann Arbor, Michigan), around the country, and in Europe (with our International Fellowship of Evangelical Students).
Peter is an Evangelism and Apologetics Specialist. At home and traveling, he trains Christian students, gives outreach lectures, has Q&A evenings, open-air talks, and public debates with atheists. He also reaches out to non-Christians and Christians with questions.
Janet is the Bible Study Resource Specialist with the International Student Ministries (ISM) of IV/USA. She trains Christian international students, develops Bible study materials, and serves international student ministries with IV and IFES/Europe. She has just finished a national writing project.

How to Reach Them |

Sabbatical: Peter was on IV staff for 5 years at Stanford (and PCC youth director before that), with IFES and in school in Mexico for 3.5 years, in grad school for 9 years, and now on staff with IV for 14 years. He is taking his first-ever sabbatical this summer (5 mo. total). They will be staying with family in Mt. Hermon most of the time and worshiping with PCC. Janet will take a leave of absence for the summer to join him, and will resume staff work in the fall, provided she has adequate funding.
- REST--spiritual rest and renewal, friendship with God, insight, good counsel, and protection from the evil one.
- Please also pray for their sons, Josh and Nate, who have important decisions to make.
- Janet has only recently joined staff, so please also pray for additional funding.
