What is Skatechurch?
Skatechurch is a ministry of Peninsula Covenant Church in Redwood City California that is in its 8th year of operation. At Skatechurch we exist to reach skaters with the saving message of Jesus Christ in the way that is most relevant to them. Our program offers a positive skateboarding environment, monthly day trips to local skateparks, and annual week long trips to Orange County and Mexico.

Sundays
Every Sunday afternoon, weather permitting
(except for monthly road trip weekends).
The Sunday skatechurch event is a free all
ages event. At each event we set up a full
street course as well as opening up our
32’ wide mini-ramp.

Wednesday Free Skate
Wednesday free skate is a two-hour skate
session intended for building relationships
and introducing skaters to Skatechurch.
This is a “limited setup” session, which
means we just take out a few ramps and
open up the mini ramp. The highest
level of skating is usually seen on
Wednesday. All ages are welcome, but this
event is geared towards skaters middle
school age and older. There is no Bible
message during this skate session.

Monthly Road Trips
Each month we take a road trip. Nine of the months we take a one-day trip to 2 or 3 Bay Area skateparks on the third Saturday of each month. In the spring we take a high school group trip to Mexico on a 9-day mission trip. In late July we take a 7-day trip to Orange county. There is no Sunday skate event on road trip weekends.

Outreach Demos
If you would like Skatechurch to come out and put on an evangelistic outreach we can bring out our ramps and share the Gospel at your youth event. Please contact us for availability and pricing.
Skatechurch Release Form
We ask all skaters wishing participating in our ministry to download a release form, complete it and turn it in to our office.
Skatechurch May Road Trip
Join us on Saturday, May 9 as we check out a skate park in Santa Cruz. We will be leaving PCC at (around) 9am and returning at (around) 4pm. Please RSVP via phone to 650-364-6304 x 248. Bring the Road Trip permission form and money on the morning of the trip. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us!
Skate Camp 2009
Camp 1: Grades K-3rd from July 13 through July 17
Camp 2: Grades 4th-8th from July 20 through July 24
All Ability levels welcome! Camp time is from 9am to 12pm daily. Skate instruction will take place at PCC, and Red Morton parks. Camp 2 will also include trips to Menlo Park and Sunnyvale parks. Cost of the camp is $75. Contact us for further details. Click here for brochures.
Skate Lessons Fundraiser
This spring break Skatechurch is going to Mexico for our 6th annual MIssions Trip to San Luis Rio Colorado. Our trip will include assisting a local church, hosting nightly skateboarding events, and remodeling a home of a needy family. The home we are remodeling is a one bedroom house made of brick, pallets, styrofoam, and cardboard. Lessons will be taught by adults and high school students participating in the missions trip. Lessons will take place at PCC. Individual lessons are $20 per hour (per skater). Lessons for 2-4 skaters per instructor are $15 per hour (per skater). Lessons will be available from 9am-5pm on Saturdays, March 7-28. See registration form for more details.
