Opportunities to Serve in the Summer Ministry Project
Summer Internship 2009
Thank you for your interest in our Peninsula Covenant Church Summer Ministry Project for the summer of 2009! We are excited to discover who the team of college students will be that will join us this summer. Please take time and fill out the enclosed application and mail it back to us. You will be notified regarding your acceptance into the project within six weeks of receiving your application. Thanks again for your interest!

Purpose |
|
To equip college age leaders in practical skills and training in evangelism and discipleship with children, youth, and adults. |
|
Dates |
|
June 12–August 23 (no late arrivals or early departures) |
General Weekly Schedule:
(may vary depending on which two ministries you serve)
- 25 hours spent in one of the following ministries:
- School Aged Child Care Summer Day Camp Leader
- Tennis Instructor, Swim Instructor, Lifeguard, Properties Management
- 20 hours spent in one of the following ministries:
- Children & Families Ministry, Middle School Ministry, High School Ministry, Non- Profit
Operations, College & Young Adult Ministry, Skateboard Ministry, Street Homeless
Ministry, Non-Profit, Operations or Worship & Creative Arts Ministry
- 10 hours in personal spiritual development
- This is done through small groups, mentoring, training, seminars, large group worship
and teaching, dinners and family time in homes.
- Attend worship at PCC on Sunday.
Living Situation:
You will be housed with host families who attend Peninsula Covenant Church. In addition, there will be a Summer Ministry Project Staff Lounge on campus where you can hang and enjoy time with each other. The lounge is a 'project staff only' place that serves as a hub for community, food and edification.

Flexible, daring, & positive attitude

Proven track record of spiritual leadership on your campus or church

Single

College-aged adult (19-25 with 2 years college experience)

Faithful, teachable and available

A team player

Available from 06/12/09-08/23/09

Hard working (No late arrivals or early departures)

Seminary students are welcomed and encouraged to apply
Compensation:
- $2,200.00 for the period of June 12–August 23, 2009, plus housing and most of your food.
