Great Commission
We value...fulfilling the GREAT COMMISSION.
(Matt. 28:18-20; 25:40)
God’s ultimate goal is that His name would be known and praised by all the peoples of the earth (Rom. 9:17). Because there is no salvation apart from Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12), because we are compelled by the love of Christ (2 Cor. 5:14), and because all people were created with value and worth in the image of God, (Gen. 1:27), we purpose to reach out and meet the felt needs of people--physical, emotional, relational and spiritual--in our efforts to make disciples. We seek to embrace and express God’s compassion for people, to extend ourselves beyond our comfort zones to step out in faith under girded through prayer, to identify with and minister to those we serve (1 Cor. 9:19-23). We are not content to serve only those who come to us, but reach out in our relationships, neighborhoods, places of work, cities, county and even go to other nations to participate in fulfilling the great commission to make Christ known and disciple those who follow Him.
